Puppies less than 16 weeks old cannot be placed in apartment complexes as they cannot go out in communal areas until about 10 days after their last vaccine at 16 weeks.

Casper needs:

• Active adult home with everyone sure-footed
• Children need to be gentle & at least 5 years of age
• Someone home most of the day to continue Housetraining
• Indoor expen or gated area to keep me out of trouble when your eyes are not on me 
• No condo or apartment living as I have not had all my puppy vaccines

My name is Casper, I’m a 4.8 pound brown/white male Terrier  mix. On September 28th I will be 10 weeks old. On that day I will be neutered, microchipped and have a little dangling rear dew claw removed. A few days later I will have my bags packed and ready for my forever home.

I need an active adult home with everyone steady on their feet – puppies like me can be a trip hazard. Children need to be gentle and at least 5 years of age. Someone will need to be home most of the day to continue my house training. My foster mom takes me out to the fenced yard often — I have made the grass/potty connection and am doing well. I’m very young so expect it to take some time  before I am totally housetrained. I like the other dogs in my foster home but the senior dogs here don’t like it when I get in their face (I just want to play). I haven’t been around cats but my foster thinks I would probably do ok with them. I need an indoor ex-pen or gated area to keep me safe when you are busy and don’t have an eye on me. I have been introduced to a crate — having the crate in your room at night would be best so if I wake up you can take me out to potty. I also ride well crated in the car.

Puppies are a lot of hard work/training and a lifetime commitment (my life that is). No apartment or condo living for me (no common/public areas until my puppy vaccines are completed). I will need to stay close to home to help keep me healthy. My new family will be responsible to make sure I get my 3rd round of vaccines between Oct. 13-18. 4th round will be due 3 -4 weeks after that and rabies vaccine due at 16 weeks. I’m up to date on my flea/heartworm preventions.
