Meet Dobi (pronounced “Dough-bee”), short for Doughboy. Dobi is a 3-year old, sweet, affectionate, 22 pound male Pug. His foster mom has fostered a lot of dogs and says Dobi is one of the nicest she’s met. He has an easy going personality, beautiful soulful brown eyes, and loves pets and snuggles on the couch, as well as belly rubs and time outside. He is housetrained, good with cats, other dogs, and kids, and generally just chills in his bed near his foster mom.
Dobi is a typical Pug in all the best ways. He’s muscular and dense at his perfect weight now, so his forever family will need to be comfortable lifting a 22 pound dog when needed – which isn’t often as he can jump up and down off furniture easily. He’s a people-person who loves to be near his people, quietly napping in his bed. He loves being outside and going for walks; and because he has a pug neck (bigger than head), he will require being walked on a harness. His teeth are in good shape, though his tongue occasionally sneaks out when sleeping or resting (just a peek!). He snorts quietly sometimes when sleeping but his nasal passages are in good shape. He has been treated for a double ear infection but no additional care required. He’ll need to stick to a measured diet to ensure he doesn’t get overweight and stress his joints and back. He prefers not to be in a crate and has not been crate trained. He whines a little in his car crate but does well uncrated at home in a closed off area with a pee pad. He also sleeps all night without a peep (but occasionally with a snore)!
Dobi is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and on preventatives. He is ready to love you and your family unconditionally forever. His adoption fee is $175.
