Puppies less than 16 weeks old cannot be placed in apartment complexes as they cannot go out in communal areas until about 10 days after their last vaccine at 16 weeks.
Gravy needs:
- No Apartment /Condo living (I’m not fully Vaccinated)
- Active Adult home (everyone sure footed)
- Children at least 5 years of age
- Someone home most of the day to continue Housetraining
- Indoor puppy pen or gated play area when you can’t keep an eye on me
My name is Gravy, I’m a Male Chihuahua mix. As of Jan. 29, I am 9 weeks old and weigh 5.5 pounds. I’m very handsome with my soft light tan fur and white markings. Please remember puppies are a life time commitment. The adults in my forever home need to be active and steady on their feet – puppies like me get under foot and we don’t want anyone to get hurt. Children need to be gentle and at least 5 years of age. I have been hanging out with a few of my siblings so it will take me a minute to get use to them not being with me.
My foster mom has been taking me outside to potty even in the cold weather but I don’t mind at all. The rest of the day/night I use pee pads and my foster mom recommends the washable kind. I have been introduced to a crate but will need work on my crate training. You will need an indoor playpen or gated area where I can hang out and stay safe when you’re busy around the house. I’ll need to get use to wearing my collar and learn to walk with a leash/harness. Puppies are cute and cuddly but remember we are a lot of hard work. I like the other dogs in my foster home. I have learned to stay away from the dogs that don’t want a puppy in their face.
I will be neutered and microchipped on Feb. 5th and a few days later I’ll be ready to come live with you. My new family will be responsible to make sure I get the 3rd & 4th rounds of my puppy vaccines including my Rabies vaccine when I’m old enough. I’m up to date on my flea and heartworm preventions.
