Harper

Adoption Area: East Tennessee

Harper needs:

  • Adult home or one with children 8 years and older
  • Someone who is home part of the day

Hi, I’m Harper! I’m an 8.5‑year‑old, 11-pound Chihuahua mix who was adopted through SBRET in 2018. After my dad passed away, SBRET welcomed me back so I can find another loving home.

I’m very sweet and warm up quickly to new people. I get along great with other dogs, though I do like to boss bigger dogs a bit — so any large dog in the home should be okay with my tiny‑girl confidence.

The vet says I’m in great health. My thyroid levels were normal but on the low end, so they’ll need to be checked again next year. I could lose a pound, but that’s easy because I love going for daily walks.

At night I sleep on a dog bed beside my foster parents’ bed, but I’d be thrilled to sleep on the big bed if you allow it. I’m housetrained, though I’ve always lived with someone home during the day, so long stretches alone may be tough for me.

I’m spayed, up to date on vaccines, had a dental cleaning, and current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.

If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate little dog who loves walks, companionship, and being close to her people, I’d love to meet you. My adoption fee is $100.
