Hello there! My name is Henry, and I’m a sweet, gentle soul looking for a forever home to call my own. I’m a poodle mix, weighing in at just 11 pounds, and estimated to be around 8 to 10 years young. Don’t let my age fool you—I’ve got plenty of love and cuddles to give!
When I first arrived at rescue, I had to be shaved down, but my soft, curly fur is growing back beautifully. I’m a calm and affectionate little guy who thrives on companionship. My favorite pastimes include:
- 🛋️ Napping on the couch beside my foster mom
- 💻 Sitting on her lap while she works
- 🐾 Snoozing peacefully on my favorite dog bed
I enjoy short walks, which help keep my legs strong since I have hip dysplasia. I can manage stairs, though sometimes I need a little help—my foster parents are happy to give me a lift when needed. To keep me comfortable, I take ½ tablet of carprofen daily. Right now, my vet doesn’t think I need FHO surgery because I’m doing so well on my own. He believes regular walking is the best form of exercise for me and emphasizes the importance of maintaining my current weight to support my mobility.
I’m doing well with house training, especially when taken out regularly. At night, I sleep soundly on the couch with my furry foster siblings. When my foster parents are out running errands, I stay loose in the house. Sometimes I bark a bit, but mostly I just relax until they return.
🚗 I’m also a fantastic car rider! I curl up in my car seat and nap peacefully during the ride.
I come neutered, microchipped, and am up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm/flea prevention. My adoption fee is $100, and I promise I’m worth every penny. I had a dental and I lost the few remaining teeth that I had but I have no trouble gobbling up my kibble!
