Hi there! I’m Kate, a 5-year-old Terrier mix weighing in at a perfect 19 pounds, and I am officially ready to find my forever teammates! My life recently has been a bit of a whirlwind. Last Thanksgiving, I gave birth to 10 puppies in a shelter! I was a very good mama, but now that my babies are all grown up, I’ve decided it’s finally “Kate Time.” I’m looking for a home where I can be the center of your world.

* The Ultimate Lovebug: I don’t just “like” people; I adore them. I’m a world-class hugger and my signature move is resting my head right on your shoulder to let you know I’m there.
* Your New Shadow: I always want to be where the action is. If you’re in a room, I want to be in it too!
* House-Trained Professional: I’m fully house-trained and can hang out inside for several hours without any “accidents.”
* Great on a Leash: I’m still getting used to the feeling of a harness, but once it’s on, I walk like a total pro.
My Quirks & Preferences:
I’m a bit of a “sensitive soul” at first. I get a little nervous meeting new people and I’ll definitely let you know if someone is entering my space (like the house or a vet room) with a few barks. However, give me just a few minutes and I warm up very quickly.
* Sleep Style: I’d prefer to snuggle under the covers in the “big bed” with you. I can sleep in my own dog bed, but only if it’s right next to yours!
* The Crate: I’m not a huge fan of the crate, but I can handle it if I really have to.
* Car Rides: I’m more of a “destination” girl than a “road trip” girl. Short rides are fine, but I’m not looking to be your cross-country co-pilot just yet.
* Other Dogs: I was a social butterfly with other dogs while I was nursing my pups, though I haven’t spent much time around other furry friends since I transitioned back to “normal” life.
Let’s Get Moving! I have plenty of energy to burn! I love to run around outside, so a fenced-in yard would be a dream come true, though it’s not a dealbreaker as long as we go on plenty of adventures. I’m looking for a family that can take me on long walks to explore the neighborhood together.
