Puppies less than 16 weeks old cannot be placed in apartment complexes as they cannot go out in communal areas until about 10 days after their last vaccine at 16 weeks.
Leah needs:
- Active Adult home, if there are children they need to be at least 5 years of age
- Someone home part of the day to continue housetraining
- Someone with puppy experience is a bonus
- No apartment or condo living as I’m not fully vaccinated
My name is Leah. I’m a beautiful brown/tan and white female Chihuahua mix with beautiful green eyes. As of 9/22/2025 I’m 9 weeks old and weigh 5.8 pounds. I’m such a happy little girl – as soon as its time to eat or go out to potty I get so excited I come running to my foster mom so she’ll pick me up. I need someone home part of the day to work on my housetraining. My potty skills still need work but I’m doing great for such a young pup. I need an active adult home and children need to be gentle and at least 5 years of age. It’s important that my new family has the time for a young pup like me – puppies are cute and cuddly but also are a lot of hard work and time consuming. My foster mom has introduced me to a crate and that needs some work. I would probably do fine crated in your room at night as long as I know you are close by. During the day, I prefer the indoor play area that my foster mom has set up with everything I need. I ride quietly crated in the car to keep me safe. I need to get used to wearing my collar/tags as these feel kind of weird to me right now. I’m a very happy playful puppy and it would be great if there is another small dog to show me the ropes in my forever home. I’m not fully vaccinated so no apartment or condo living for me (no paws on the ground in public common areas).
I’m spayed (my hernia was repaired), microchipped, up to date on my preventions and age-appropriate vaccines. Next round (3rd) of puppy vaccines are due around Oct.15th and again 3 weeks after that. My rabies vaccine will be due when I’m 16 weeks old. My adoption fee is $175.
