Liam

Adoption Area: East Tennessee

Liam needs:

  • Regular professional grooming
  • Someone willing to provide and administer daily eye drops
  • No children under 6
  • Would be very happy with another small dog buddy
  • No apartments or condos

My name is Liam and I am a 13-pound, 6-year old male Shih Tzu mix. I found myself homeless and in need of care when SBRET came to my rescue. I am very social, love people, and think everyone wants to pet me. Nothing makes me happier than playing with other dogs, and better yet, another dog and squeaky toys. My dry eyes will require lifelong monitoring and daily prescription eye drops to ensure I enjoy a pain-free life. I am very food motivated and will need my food intake monitored to keep my handsome physique.

I can be barky when left alone, so no apartments for me. I am crate trained, but my foster mom lets me stay out sometimes and I have never bothered anything while she’s been away. I do not jump on the furniture, but still want to be in your lap, and will bark until you pick me up. Also, I sleep quietly all night in my crate, but would love to sleep with my humans. My foster mom says I’m a good sleeper.

I light up when the neighbor dog comes for a visit. I would be very happy with another dog friend or two in the house. I am doing great with my house training, and with regular outings, haven’t had a single accident. I like to go on walks and do very well on a leash.

I am ready for my forever home, and I am ready to be your good boy! I have been neutered, microchipped, and I am current on my flea, tick and heartworm prevention. I had a benign adenoma removed from by back. I am still getting some medicated shampoos, as I was very neglected prior to coming to rescue, but my fur is growing back beautifully! My adoption fee is $175.
