Mei-Ling needs:

• No children under 12 years of age
• Regular bathing and skin care 
• Someone that likes to walk with me
• No apartments or condos 
• Someone knowledgeable about Chinese Crested care

My name is MeiLing. I am a 10-pound, 9-year-old Chinese Crested, hairless senior gal. I found myself homeless after my mom was no longer able to care for me. Thankfully I found my way to rescue, and I am now ready for the next chapter of my life. My foster parents say I would be happiest in an adult home with people that are around a lot of the time. When left alone I like to bark and howl for a bit, so no apartment living for me. It takes me a while to warm up to a new face and I may initially growl if I don’t know you. I really love my foster mom and follow her all around the house. It has taken me longer to warm up to men. I also love blankets! I lived with a dog the same age and size in my previous home, but my foster parents say I am also fine as an only. When I go out for walks I do react to other dogs I see by barking so I may need a slow introduction to any new small  dog in my adoptive home

I am housetrained and great about going potty outside! I go out regularly and walk fine on a leash. No inside accidents to date! I do need doggy sunscreen or a t-shirt if walking in the sun, and of course a warm sweater on chilly days. 

I sleep in my foster parents’ room in my crate and never make a sound as long as I can see them. 

If you have knowledge of my breed, you know how loving I can be! I have been spayed, microchipped, and I am current on my flea, tick and heartworm prevention. My adoption fee is $100.
