Adoption Area: East Tennessee

Nessie needs:

• A patient owner who will let her warm up in her own time
• Someone home at least part of the day to continue reinforcing her house training 
• Fenced in yard 
• Regular grooming
• Active adult home or with children over 10 years old 

Meet wonderful Nessie!  She is a 10 lb, 6-yr-old Maltese mix.  She’s a loving little girl once she gets to know you.  She’s a bit skittish at first but starts to warm up quickly.  Nessie is working hard on her house manners but does need to be taken out frequently to continue to reinforce them.

Nessie gets along with other dogs but doesn’t seem to care about them one way or another so she would also be fine as an only dog.  She travels well in a car preferably in a car seat and walks well on a leash.  She doesn’t particularly like the crate but will be fine if left in one for short periods of time.  She does expect to sleep in bed with you.  Her foster mom tried putting her in a play pen at night but she barked off and on for 3 nights before her foster mom broke down and brought her to bed.  She loves snuggling up with you at night.

She is  up to date on her flea/heartworm preventions and vaccinations. She is spayed, microchipped, and has had a dental so her teeth are in great shape. Her adoption fee is $175.
