Pansy came to SBRET after her mom passed away. Now she is looking for another perfect family to spend her senior years with. Even though she has a little more grey on her muzzle she still has alot of life and love. Her favorite things are cuddles on the sofa or soaking up the sun but she also enjoys car rides, walks and playing with her toys. She is okay with cats and other small, calm dogs. She doesn’t always like to share her human’s lap but she will if she has to and she’s been caught in a pile of pups on her foster mom’s lap without complaining. She will sleep in a crate but absolutely prefers to be under the covers with her people!
Pansy will alert when strangers walk by so she might not be great in an apartment. She also isn’t a big fan of company and will bark when new people come over but she is happy to find a lap as soon as everyone sits down!
Pansy will use puppy pads if she can’t get outside but also does well if let out frequently. Of course, if not reminded of her good habits during cold or rainy weather she may poop in the house!
Even at 13 years old, Pansy is quite healthy. She had a dental last December and a good checkup at her last vet visit. She does have a sensitive tummy but manages well on Science Diet Sensitive Stomach & Skin formula. It is easy to find at the big pet stores.
