Pecan

Puppies less than 16 weeks old cannot be placed in apartment complexes as they cannot go out in communal areas until about 10 days after their last vaccine at 16 weeks.

Pecan needs:

  • No Apartment /Condo living (I’m not fully Vaccinated)
  • Active Adult home (everyone sure footed)
  • Children at least 5 years of age
  • Someone home most of the day to continue Housetraining
  • Indoor puppy pen or gated play area when you can’t keep an eye on me

Hi everyone my name is Pecan, I’m a feisty little female Chihuahua mix. As of Jan.29, I am 9 weeks old and weigh just under 5 pounds. I have beautiful Tan fur and a black snout. Very cute ears you’ll see in my pictures. I’ll be ready for my forever home around the 7th of Feb after I am spayed and microchipped. Please keep in mind that puppies are cute and snuggly but are a lot of work – people sometimes don’t think about that. Also smaller breeds live a very long life so be ready to commit to taking care of me for my lifetime. I need an active adult home with everyone sure footed to keep everyone safe. Children need to be gentle and at least 5 years of age.

I have been hanging out in an indoor play area with a couple of my siblings so it will take me a little time to get use to them not being around. My foster mom has a crate in my play area with the door open so I can get use to it – I go in the crate to nap sometimes. You will need to make sure you have a puppy play pen or gated area for me so I’m sure to be safe and out of trouble when you can’t keep an eye on me. I’m not use to my collar or harness just yet so I will need your help with that. After I get use to wearing a harness we will need to work on walking on a leash. Remember a lot of training is required with a puppy. My foster mom has been taking me outside to potty even in the cold weather and I’m doing great. I will need someone home most of the day to continue my housetraining. I will also use pee pads – my foster mom recommends the washable ones.

My new family will be responsible to make sure I receive the 3rd and 4th round of my puppy vaccines and also my rabies vaccine when due. I’m up to date on my flea and heartworm preventions. My adoption fee is $175. If you have the time and patience for an active pup like me contact my friends at SBRET.COM and get your on-line application approved and we can let the training continue. Love, Pecan
