Puppies less than 16 weeks old cannot be placed in apartment complexes as they cannot go out in communal areas until about 10 days after their last vaccine at 16 weeks.
Winnie needs:
- Active Adult home (everyone sure-footed)
- Children need to be gentle & at least 8 years of age
- Someone home most of the day to continue housetraining
- No apartment or condo living (I’m not fully vaccinated)
My Name is Winnie, I’m a female Chihuahua mix 8 weeks old (as of 11/14/25) and 5.5 pounds. I am white with beautiful black markings including cute little freckles on my legs. Please keep in mind puppies are cute/adorable but also need a lot of your time & patience training them. I need an active Adult home everyone steady on their feet since I stay a little too close so we don’t want anyone to get hurt. Children must be gentle and at least 8 years old.
I have started my housetraining and have made the potty in the grass connection but remember I’m very young so I still have a ways to go. Every time my foster mom puts me down in the grass I go potty and that’s a great start. My foster mom lets me hang out with the adult dogs for a little while after I earn that right by going potty outside. I also use pee pads – I have an indoor play area where I hang out with my brother while my foster mom is busy or needs to leave the house for a few hours. There is also a crate with the door open so I can get use to sleeping in it. Crate training a puppy is always great to keep them safe and out of trouble. I have been in the car a few times (crated) and so far I’m doing well with that. I need to work on wearing my collar/tags so I’ll need your help with that. As I get older leash/harness training is very important. I’m very playful and another small playful dog would be great otherwise you will become my playmate. I’m a pretty brave little girl not much scares me. I do whine when I want to be held and bark when I want to play.
I’m scheduled for my 2nd round of puppy vaccines on 11/21/25. My new family will be responsible for the 3rd and 4th rounds of vaccines and my Rabies vaccine which is due when I’m 16 weeks old. I’m spayed, microchipped and up to date on my preventions. My adoption fee is $175.
