Adoption Area: East Tennessee
Zoe needs:
- Children over the age of 13.
- Regular brushing and occasional grooming.
- If there’s cats in the home, they need to be very tolerant of a very nosy, Zoe.
- A residence that has no adjoining walls with other neighbors because of Zoe’s tendency to bark when she hears something. Either real or imagined.
Meet Zoe, a lovely 8-year-old female Poodle/Chihuahua mix with the sweetest face and a gentle expression that will melt your heart. She weighs 13.5 pounds and has beautiful creamy-colored hair with a soft little curl that makes her extra adorable.
Zoe has an independent side and enjoys doing her own thing, but when she wants affection, she makes it very clear and loves to come over for attention and cuddles. She is house trained and sleeps perfectly in her crate at night. She is a sweet girl with lots of love to give.
When Zoe gets excited, she spins in circles and will sometimes chase her tail, which is one of her adorable little quirks.
She also makes a great little watchdog and will quickly let you know if anyone is nearby — nothing gets past her!
Zoe does well with other dogs and has even shown interest in playing with one of them, but she does not need another dog in the home and would be perfectly happy as the only dog too. She would do well in a home with older, gentle children who understand how to respect a small dog’s space. She is also okay with the cat in her foster home, but she is very interested in what the cat is doing, and not all cats may appreciate that level of curiosity.
The first couple of days Zoe was nervous when being picked up, and she can be a little nervous about riding in the car, so she would do best with someone patient who can help her feel safe during trips and to help her acclimate to her new home.
She recently had a dental cleaning and had 5 teeth removed. She is up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed, is heartworm negative, and has received a Cytopoint injection to help with occasional itchiness. Currently Zoe is on a salmon based food to see if that helps with her itchiness.
Maintaining Zoe’s coat is fairly low maintenance with regular brushing, along with occasional grooming to keep her nicely shaped up. Keeping the hair around her face trimmed really helps show off her sweet little face.
Zoe is ready to find a loving forever home where she can be cherished.
Zoe’s adoption fee is $175.
