In Loving Memory

Annie - 2016

Annie

<!–1/25/16: –>Almost 15 years ago, I adopted my sweet baby Annie (previously called “Scruffy”) from SBRET. I
gave her all the love and care I could, and she returned that love a hundred times over. A
week ago today, Annie passed away in my arms. If it weren’t for my other baby girl Sugar, I
don’t know what I would do. I’ve cried so much it’s been hard to function normally. I see her
everywhere I look…I think I’ll wake up every morning and she’ll be next to me in bed,
cuddling close and keeping me warm. Please say a prayer for my little girl…my heart is
just broken, so a prayer for me too might help me get through this. Annie loved everyone
she met…including cats. She never met a stranger, and big dogs were her favorite…the bigger
the better!

I will never get over this but, with God’s help, I’ll get through it. Thank you for giving me
the opportunity, great honor and privilege of having and loving my precious baby girl…my sweet Annie.

Jane and Annie

Jane and Annie

<!–2002:–>I found my Mommy, Jane, just a couple of months ago through the wonderful
people at SBRET. When I first came to my new home, my Mom’s other furbaby
(BamBam) wasn’t very happy to see me (Annie). He would growl at me when I got too
close to him, but she wouldn’t let him get away with it. He had to go into
timeout, and that pleased me very much! Anyway, here I am today, and BamBam
finally has learned his lesson. We play together by chasing each other up
and down the stairs and jumping on and off our big bed. I’m a lot faster
because BamBam is an eight-year old Lhasa, and has very short legs…he
doesn’t have a chance of keeping up with me! I sleep with my Mommy and BamBam,
and love to cuddle. My Mommy loves me very very much. She is always saying
to me…”You’re my baby girl and I’m so glad I have you.” I feel exactly
the same way.
