Beau

In Loving Memory

Beau and his sister, Roux, were supposed to be euthanized at an area veterinary clinic. You see, their former owner was getting married, and her husband-to-be would only allow a certain number of pets. A local vet was contacted, and fortunately for them she refused to perform this procedure, and instead gave this person our phone number for help. Both of these dogs were extremely old, and at best probably had a couple years to live. The fact that an owner was willing to put them to sleep, to honor the wishes of a future spouse, was beyond comprehension to us. But we put on a good acting performance, smiled and treated this person oh so sweetly, and rescued these dogs from her.

Anyway, we got another rescue to take both dogs – one who was willing to let them live the rest of their lives out at her house in the event another home could not be found. Poor little Beau, the weaker of the two, didn’t last that long – but he had a few months of love and happiness before he passed on to the Rainbow Bridge. Bye bye little baby – we hope you are happy and running and playing – in a young healthy body with no aches and pains. And don’t you worry, you will see your sister soon enough – for she will join you one day – and you can be together forever.
