Rest In Peace Sweet Jazzy
April 25, 2019
Our sweet ‘Jazzy Potato’ came to us 10/26/15 on a bright and crisp fall day. My husband and I waiting in anticipation for her arrival, and I remarked to my husband that this must be what it is like awaiting a baby adoption. We were pacing the floor! Upon the arrival of Jazzy with her foster mom, they were getting out of the car, and our first glimpse of our soon-to-be furry daughter caused our hearts to skip a beat and it was immediate love! Jazzy loved when we snuggled on the couch as a family. She knew to be between us made her center of attention and she soaked that love up. She loved road trips and loved the ocean. She was a well-mannered girl around humans and other pets (even pigs!). She would slip over to the neighbor’s house, kiss the cats, and then eat their food as if they owed her a meal. Jazzy was not impressed with thunderstorms, but being held and talked to made the fears subside just a bit.
Less than six months ago we adopted Molly Mae aka Leslie from SBRET. It was a rough start at first with everyone adapting to a new family member. More so with Jazzy. Jazzy was not too interested in a baby sister rocking her boat, but after a while, she welcomed her baby sister by allowing Molly Mae to eat before her. It was a tender moment for all to be had.
At the end of her life, she developed complications from diabetes and didn’t recover. She passed away gently in her daddy’s loving arms. She is and will always be our sweet little girl. The day following Jazzy’s burial at home, Molly Mae would look up on the sofa for Jazzy. She missed her big sister and we miss our furry forever daughter.
