Hi! My name is Buttercup and I am a petite 7 year old female Chihuahua weighing 5 lbs. My previous owner became ill and could no longer care for me. As you can see from my pictures that after a necessary dental, my tongue shows just a smidgen. My foster mom thinks it’s “endearing”. My heart and knees are all good. I was spayed and am now ready for my forever home.

As many of you know, Chihuahua can live a very long time so I have many years left to be your companion dog. And that is what I do best…..be a companion! If there was a contest in this category, I would win Gold! I want to be with you and will follow you around the house. If I can’t, I will be a bit of a whiner about it, which my foster mom discourages. No worries about getting under foot though, I’m a champ at avoiding that!

I was a bit of a chub and have already lost almost a pound so please continue to help me on my way to a healthy weight. I can see myself in a home where someone is there a good part of the day so I can do what I do best, be your best friend:) I potty outside every time and love snooping around the yard. I must be on a leash if no fenced yard because I love to check it all out. I sleep in a crate beside your bed or if you prefer (and I do!) sleep with you. My snoring has improved considerably after starting on my weight loss program. Another favorite activity that I would enjoy sharing with my person is car rides! Love them!
