Gibson needs:
- Someone home part of the day
- Active adult home or one with children over 12
Hi, my name is Gibson. I am a 4-year-old, 12-pound male Shih Tzu. I found myself without a home and SBRET came to the rescue. I am now enjoying life in foster care as I wait for my forever home.
I am a sweet boy who loves being around my people. I will follow you wherever you go and keep you company. This also means that I am quick to follow you out a door if you are
leaving, so being conscious of where I am before opening a door is very important. I initially had some separation anxiety whenever my foster parents would leave the house, but that
has gotten better as I have settled in. So, I would do best if someone is home most of the day or in a home with another dog to keep me company. Also, it would be best for children to be 12 years or older.
I am doing well with my housetraining and have had only one accident when I first came into foster care. A secure fenced yard would be great, but if you don’t have one, I do walk well on a leash. In fact, I love to go on walks, and will potty while being walked. I sleep quietly at night in a kennel beside my foster parents’ bed, but would love to sleep with my people if permitted. I am a good eater and am not food aggressive.
I am neutered and am on heartworm and flea prevention. My vaccines are up to date and I am microchipped. My adoption fee is $175.
