A Tale of Two Puppies
Once upon a time, there were two puppies living at a puppy mill in tiny rabbit hutches with wire floors. There was little food, dirty water and it was bitter cold in Winter and blazing hot in Summer.
They had never played with a toy or even felt grass beneath their feet. They could only potty in the cage, so their fur was matted and filthy with waste. They had no humans to love and care for them.
Things were looking pretty bleak when lo and behold, some nice people from Animal Rescue Corps came and whisked them out of the horrible place. Animal Rescue Corps introduced them to some sweet angels at Small Breed Rescue of East
Tennessee. The nice ladies named them Hawkeye and Theo.

They rode a long way from Warren County to Knoxville where they were placed in foster homes until their furever homes could be found. Who knew that foster moms had so much love to give!
They showed the two puppies how to play with toys and how nice the grass felt under their tender paws.
The puppies couldn’t believe they could be cozy and warm in a bed at night!

After a few months, Hawkeye went to meet a new family who was awfully glad to see him.
It didn’t take him long to settle in and feel right at home for they had lots of love to give.
Theo had a little harder time getting used to the big world outside the rabbit hutch, but Hawkeye’s family had a feeling that Theo might be just the perfect playmate for Hawkeye, so he came to meet them too.
At first, Theo was very afraid and stayed very still and quiet, but he couldn’t stay still for long
with a playmate like Jasper (Hawkeye’s new name). They became fast friends and lived happily ever after in their furever home-together.
The moral of this story is … it’s not where you came from, it’s where you end up.
