Hello fellow quarantiners, I would like to introduce you to Kevin! Kevin is a 4-year-old, 4.5-pound male Papillon mix. Gorgeous, isn’t he? But before you race to fill out an application, let me tell you a few things about him. No, not bad things, just things that you should be aware of. Kevin is an extremely sweet, affectionate, smart little guy. His happy place is wherever you are. He gets along fine with the other dogs, but would also be happy as an only dog. He’s a good little eater, and he sleeps all night in his own bed beside my bed. He would much rather be snuggled up with you all night, but is content with his bed as long as it is close to you. He will also potty outside if you remember to take him regularly. I make sure he has a potty break right before bed time, and he sleeps all night with no accidents.
Kevin is very, very clingy. That is going to be a plus for some people and a minus for some. He wants to be wherever I am, and when he loses sight of me he cries until I come back. He also gets underfoot which could be a problem for someone with any mobility issues at all. When I leave the house, he cries until I come home. With continued positive reinforcement he may get better with this but he definitely gets upset when his person is not in sight. Being with another dog does not really help him. He also barks at new people, and it takes him several minutes to settle down. Since he is a very vocal little boy, he would not be a good fit for an apartment, or a home with a lot of people coming and going. He would love a quiet adult home, with one or two people who are home most of the time. He is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines and heartworm and flea prevention. Kevin also received a dental and he lost several teeth.
He is going to be the perfect dog for the right person, and will love you forever. If you think you might be this person, he would love to meet you! Kevin’s adoption fee is $175.
Kevin needs:
– Quiet adult home
– Someone home during the day
– No mobility issues as Kevin is tiny and gets underfoot
– No apartments
