Puppies less than 16 weeks old cannot be placed in apartment complexes as they cannot go out in communal areas until about 10 days after their last vaccine at 16 weeks.
Hi, my name is Locket. I am a 3-pound female Chihuahua mix who will be 8 weeks old on February 20. I am spunky and full of life and a pretty confident little girl! Sadly I am the only surviving member of my little family and I was surrendered to SBRET when my mom died. I was a little bottle-fed baby and didn’t grow up in the way puppies should. So it will be extra important to do a lot of socialization with me once I have completed all of my vaccines. And like all puppies, I would benefit from some basic obedience classes when I am the right age.
My forever home will need someone there part of the day to help me with my house training as that has not gone particularly well due to the monsoon rains we have been having over the past couple weeks! Children in the home should be over eight years old as I am small, underfoot, and have very sharp puppy teeth! Remember when considering a Chihuahua mix puppy that we can have a very long life and you could expect us to be around for the next 15 to 17 years! Due to my lack of having the benefit of my mom and siblings it will be very important for there to be a young friendly dog in the home that will help show me the ropes! If you think you have the right situation for me please get in touch with my friends at SBRET! Ask for Locket if you think you might have the key to my heart! My adoption fee is $175. Of course I will be spayed and microchipped and have all age-appropriate vaccines before being adopted.
To recap what Locket needs:
– An adult home or if there are children, they need to be over 8 years old
– Someone home part of the day
– Playful young doggie friend
– No apartments
