This is Luana with Rosie and Minnie (formerly Little Bit). If you think Luana looks familiar, she is! She also adopted Max, the sweet little 2.6 pound blind Yorkie that SBRET raised $500 for (to get him evaluated for cataract surgery). Sadly, Max passed away recently (3/04), but Luana still has plenty of love to give to the rest of her little babies. Luana and her father are very special people, and she always seems to gravitate to those animals most in need. For example, Rosie was so abused in her previous life that she STILL flinches if you move too quickly toward her. However, Luana has worked so diligently with Rosie that she will now walk on a leash around the neighborhood, and she is even learning some commands! Minnie (who everyone probably remembers as Little Bit) is also a special needs baby that Luana opened her heart to. Minnie has two bones in her neck that are too far apart that has caused some neurological problems, and has affected her walking (she can walk – just a little awkwardly). We also found out later that little Minnie has a heart murmur. But, those things just made Luana love her more! And for that we are so grateful! We couldn’t ask for a better or more loving home for any of our babies than they get when they live with Luana! We love you, Luana, and thanks for all you do!
