Meet Paddington! Paddington is a ~1-year-old, ~15-pound male Havanese mix with a gentle and calm demeanor. He has a bit of an old soul when you look into his eyes.
Paddington had the worst start in life, likely confined to a cage outside in a puppy mill, not getting to experience the life of a pet, love or attention. Due to this he needs continued work on socialization, trust, and confidence.
He wants to please and just needs a loving family to show him what the life of a loved pet is all about. He enjoys cuddles on the couch and will soak up attention.
He walks well on a leash and rides well in a car although he gets a little worried. He will tolerate a crate, but he may scratch at the door or cry occasionally, understandably considering being confined was his life for so long. He is doing great with potty training but will need continued work.
He gets along well with other dogs and may try to play. Having a confident and social dog to learn from could help with his confidence and trust building. He has not been cat tested.
If you are looking for a low-key companion that has lots of love to give, look no further! Paddington is neutered, up to date on vaccines as well as heartworm and flea preventives, and is microchipped. His adoption fee is $175.
