My name is Paxton. I’m a 5-year-old, 14-pound male Dachshund looking for my furever home. I love to play with my other furry friends, love chew toys, and love to run in the yard. I really enjoy the outdoors. I am very friendly, get along great with my adult human friends, and enjoy being cuddled and loved. I’m very curious about my surroundings and like to sniff around. I get along great with other dogs and cats.
I sometimes have a lot to say so I would not be a good fit for an apartment! I ride well in the car if you would like a side kick! I need an adult home or one with children over 15 years old. One time when I was napping on the couch I did nip at someone so no kids for me. This was an isolated incident and my foster family has never seen it since but it did happen.
I am up-to-date with all my shots, flea treatment, and heartworm prevention. I have been neutered and microchipped. I do great with my potty training but like many dogs when I go to my forever home in a new environment I might have an accident. I would enjoy being your walking buddy as I walk well on a leash.
I am not fond of a crate and like to sleep with my human. I stay in a gated-off area if you need to leave me for a bit.
