I’m Sam, a 2-year-old 18-pound neutered male terrier mix. I came to SBRET because my family could no longer care for me. I’m a little worried and anxious in new situations but settle in pretty quickly. I am fine in the car but like to be able to see out the window (rolled up for safety of course). I walk well on a leash and love sniffing my surroundings. My foster mom says I’m the best boy with my housetraining! I like the fenced yard but only if foster mom is within sight. Actually I like to have my person in sight most of the time, if you go into a room I expect to be in there too! Foster mom is working on that and teaching me boundaries and that it’s ok if I’m left in another room alone for a short time.
I do fine with other dogs most of the time but can get a little possessive over laps or what I think is my space but I am corrected easily. Due to this if there are other dogs in the home they need to be young and playful and not too assertive or dominant. I haven’t really met a cat yet but met some geese on a walk and thought better of checking them out. I sleep in a crate next to foster mom’s bed without a peep all night. I am neutered, microchipped, and current on heartworm/flea prevention. My adoption fee is $175.
