Snickerdoodle

Hi, my name is Snickerdoodle but my foster family shortens that to Snickers, Snick, Snicky – well you get the
idea! I’m an adorable male Pekingese about 5-1/2 months old and 8.5 pounds. My fur is so soft and have you ever seen such
pretty brown eyes?

I have had some adjustments to make from being at the shelter and coming to rescue but having to be kept confined due to
the possibility of disease (shelters are scary places for unvaccinated puppies) and now I have been hanging out in my
foster home. I am fostered with a variety of human and canine personalities. I get along with little and big dogs (from
a Labrador Retriever to an 8 week old puppy). I do ok with older kids, but would prefer an adult home or a house with
kids over 8 years old. I am quite content
to sit on the couch and watch TV, but I’ve also been known to take all the rough play that my 65 pound foster sister
can dish out.

I’m crate trained, although please give me a treat when I go in there. I also like to have breakfast and dinner in my
crate. I sleep at night in the room with the rest of my pack on the floor in the room with my big foster sister and am
doing well with not needing to potty at night. When my family has a good routine going during the day, I do pretty well
going potty outside. If I go inside, I’m nearly 100% likely to hit a pee pad. It’s still a work in progress, though,
so I’ll need someone to keep working with me. Not bad for a puppy who had a very bad start to all this living in a
house stuff! I’ve done a little leash training and will get there with time, but I haven’t reached the point where I
can do my potty business on the leash so probably best if I have a fenced in yard.

I have been neutered and am up to date on all my shots plus, of course, on heartworm preventative and microchipped.
My adoption fee is $175.
