Tiny (forever foster)

Hey there… my name is Tiny. I’m a male Chihuahua with a little bit of Dachshund mixed in. I weigh about 9-½ pounds and I am 9 years old. When I first came to rescue I wasn’t so tiny! I was a whopping 11 pounds which was way too fat and unhealthy for me! So I’ve been on a diet, did very well, and I feel so much better.

I’m a pretty cool dude and a nice boy! I like to lay around on the sofa but if there’s a cat moving around I’m all about chasing it! At night I sleep in a crate and I’m pretty quiet, although I would prefer snuggling with my humans. I was diagnosed with diabetes after coming to SBRET. I get insulin twice daily and the nice SBRET folks can teach my forever family what they need to know and do for me. I do need to go out to potty frequently, so it would be better for someone to be home part or most of the day. Besides, that gives me more time to snuggle and I am a snuggler! I get along well with other small dogs. I have not been around young children so children over 8 years old or an adult home will be best for me.

I just had a dental and I lost seven of my little front teeth. It’s not going to slow me down with my eating and for a couple of days my foster mom is going to soften my food with a little water. I’m working on my leash skills and sharpening up my house training abilities!

I am neutered, up-to-date with my vaccinations, I have my microchip and I am on monthly heartworm/flea prevention. My adoption fee is $100. So just so you know, I’m hanging by the phone waiting to get the call that I’ve got my forever home all lined up! Hope it’s you.. Love, Tiny!
