Our Mission
Small Breed Rescue of East Tennessee, Inc. (SBRET) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to finding forever homes for displaced or abandoned small breed dogs. We are also dedicated to educating the public about pet overpopulation, the benefits of spaying/neutering, and the horrors of puppymills.
All our dogs live in foster homes in the Knoxville, TN area and we do not have a shelter facility. If you are interested in meeting one of our Available Dogs, please see the Events Calendar for location information. Or you can fill out an adoption application and if approved, we will arrange a meet-and-greet or home visit.
All our dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, receive heartworm/flea prevention, have dental cleaning when required and medical care. Our adoption fees help cover these expenses but we also rely heavily on donations.

O, Christmas Treat Holiday Matching Campaign
You did it! You helped us meet our campaign matching goal of $8,000 faster than Santa sliding down a chimney on Christmas Eve!
As of December 5th, we’ve raised $10,707.94 which means we’ll receive the full matching pledge. That raises our fundraising total to $18,707.94!!
We’ll be putting that money right to work funding the much needed veterinary care of at-risk and homeless dogs in East Tennessee.
Thank you from the bottom of our stockings!
