Hello! Chumbo here! I am a handsome Chihuahua mix boy. I weigh about 11.5 pounds and I am about 10 years old. Both my foster mom and dad think I am one of the easiest fosters they have had. I quickly adjusted to their routines and have never had an accident in the house!
I like going for walks although I do tend to bark at other people and dogs we meet along the way … my foster mom is trying to teach me not to do that. Hey ... I am a chihuahua, right :)? I also bark when new people come to my home - my foster mom says I would make a good intruder alert system! I eventually calm down if the new folks give me time to learn to trust them.
I love food and I guess I had a bit too much in my previous home so my foster mom is helping me lose weight by rationing my food and taking me for a long walk each day. I get along with the other dogs in my home but I don't play with them. I do play fetch and "keep away" with my foster dad. I have not been around cats. I love snuggling on the couch with my foster mom or dad. At night they let me sleep wherever I want because I don’t like being crated and they trust my house training manners. I think I would really like being on the big bed with my humans too. I am ok with car rides but I tend to get fidgety so it would be best to transport me in a crate or buckled up with a good harness.
